What a growing kitten needs from a wet food

Kittens double and triple their weight in months, so every meal has to carry protein, calcium and phosphorus in the right proportion, and enough energy for a small stomach. A soft pâté is easy to lap from weaning, and the 80% moisture keeps a kitten hydrated while it's still learning to drink.

Complete food for kittens from 2 to 12 months; switch to an adult recipe after the first year. Serve at room temperature, refrigerate after opening and use within 24 hours. Loose stools in a kitten can dehydrate it quickly — see a vet if they last more than a day.
