Privacy policy

Last updated: September 21, 2026

The short version

  • We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by licensed payment providers (MyFatoorah, Tabby and Tamara), not by Pawzi.
  • Your payment details are never used for marketing, and we never sell your personal information.
  • We use your contact and order details to deliver your orders and support you. We send offers only where you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information whenever you like: info@pawzi.sa

Who we are

This store and website, pawzi.sa, is operated by Pawzi Establishment Commercial (مؤسسة باوزي التجارية), Commercial Registration 7053111063, VAT number 314509016200003, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia ("Pawzi", "we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy, and we handle it in line with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its regulations.

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have when you visit pawzi.sa, place an order, or contact us (together, the "Services"). Our store is built on Shopify. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to your personal information.

What we collect and what we use it for

"Personal information" means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include anonymous or de-identified information. The table shows each type of information, why we need it, and whether it is ever used for marketing.

We collect this information directly from you (when you order, create an account or contact us), automatically from your device through cookies and similar technologies, and from service providers who work on our behalf, such as our payment and delivery partners.

How payments work

Pawzi does not collect, see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code (CVV).

When you pay, your payment details go directly and securely to the payment provider you choose. They never pass through Pawzi's own systems.

  • Card and wallet payments are processed by MyFatoorah.
  • Buy now, pay later is provided by Tabby and Tamara. If you choose one of them, you complete your payment with them directly, and they collect the information they need under their own privacy policies.
  • Cash on delivery is collected by our delivery partner when your order arrives. No card details are involved.

What we receive from these providers is limited to what we need to run your order: whether the payment succeeded, the amount, the payment method, a transaction reference and, in some cases, the card type and its last four digits. We use this only to match payments to orders, process refunds, prevent fraud and keep the accounting and tax records the law requires.

We never use payment information for marketing or advertising, and we never sell it or share it with advertisers.

Marketing and advertising

We would like to tell you about offers, new products and reminders that are useful for you and your pet. For this we use your contact details, your order history and your activity on our website. We do not use your payment details.

  • Messages. We send marketing by email, SMS or WhatsApp only where you have agreed to receive it or where the law otherwise allows. Messages about an order you have placed (confirmation, delivery, refund) are not marketing, and we send those regardless.
  • Online ads. We advertise on platforms such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok. With cookies and similar technologies, these platforms help us measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested. We may share a protected (hashed) version of your email or phone number with them for this purpose. They handle information under their own privacy policies.

Opting out is always possible. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply to stop WhatsApp or SMS offers, change your cookie choices on our website, adjust your ad settings on the platforms above, or simply email info@pawzi.sa and we will take care of it.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the parties below, and only as far as each one needs it:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders on our behalf.
  • Payment providers (MyFatoorah, Tabby, Tamara), to take your payment and issue refunds.
  • Warehouse and delivery partners, who receive your name, phone number, address, the contents of your order and any cash-on-delivery amount so they can deliver it.
  • Communication tools that we use to send emails and WhatsApp messages and to run customer support.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, as described in "Marketing and advertising" above.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, such as our accountants, and government or judicial bodies where Saudi law requires it or to respond to a valid legal request.
  • A new owner, if Pawzi is ever merged, sold or restructured. Your information would remain protected by this Privacy Policy.
  • Anyone else you ask us to share it with, or where you otherwise consent.

Our relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them for you. Information you submit to the Services is transmitted to and shared with Shopify and with third parties that may be located outside Saudi Arabia.

To help protect, grow and improve our business, we also use certain Shopify enhanced features that draw on your interactions with our store, with other merchants and with Shopify. For these features, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including responding to your requests to exercise your rights. To learn more, visit the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Depending on where you live, you may exercise certain rights through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website working (for example, remembering your cart and keeping you signed in), to understand how the site is used, and for advertising as described above. You can manage cookies through the cookie settings on our website where available and through your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.

Where your information is stored

Some of our service providers, including Shopify, store and process information on servers outside Saudi Arabia. When your information is transferred abroad, we do so in line with the PDPL's rules on international transfers, and we share only what is needed for the purpose.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it: to maintain your account, deliver your orders, resolve disputes and meet our legal obligations. Order and invoice records are kept for the period required by Saudi tax and commercial regulations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we work with established providers for hosting and payments. However, no security measures are perfect, and information you send to us may not be secure in transit. Please do not send card details or other sensitive information to us by email, WhatsApp or social media. We will never ask you for them. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details safe.

Your rights

Under the PDPL, and subject to the conditions and exceptions it sets out, you have the right to:

  • Be informed about how and why we collect your personal information, which is the purpose of this policy.
  • Access the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy of it in a clear, readable format.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
  • Delete personal information we no longer need.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, for example to marketing messages.

To use any of these rights, email info@pawzi.sa or call us. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights. In some cases the law requires us to keep certain information, such as tax invoices, and we will tell you if that applies to your request.

Children

The Services are not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

Our website may link to websites or platforms operated by others, including our payment providers and social media pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies. Anything you post publicly on social media platforms may be visible to other users of those platforms.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), the authority that supervises the PDPL.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised version on this page, update the "Last updated" date, and give you notice where the law requires it.
