Why encapsulating urine beats perfuming it

Litter-tray smell is ammonia, produced when bacteria act on urea in urine. Scented litters just cover it. Multi Fresh stops the reaction: the powder traps the urine, blocks the urease enzyme that starts the breakdown, and lets beneficial microbes finish the job.
