Why kittens need more taurine and choline
Taurine is an amino acid cats can't make in sufficient quantity themselves, and kittens need it in higher amounts than adult cats for healthy heart and eye development. This recipe adds 400mg of taurine per kg on top of what the fresh chicken and herring already provide, plus 1,200mg of choline for brain development.
This recipe contains whole oats, so unlike ACANA's dog range, it isn't grain-free — oats are used here specifically for their gentle, easily digested fibre in a young kitten's developing gut.
