Felyn Go Hairball Control Paste is a tasty malt-based paste that helps cats pass swallowed hair naturally, instead of bringing it back up. Given from the tube or off the paw, it's an easy, palatable way to keep hairballs from building up — 100 ml.
Where hairballs come from — and how a paste helps
Cats groom constantly, and every grooming session means swallowing loose hair. Most of it passes through, but some collects in the stomach and forms a hairball — which the cat then has to bring back up, often with that unmistakable retching. Long-haired cats, heavy shedders, and older cats are most prone to it.
A malt-based paste works by gently lubricating the swallowed hair so it slides through the digestive tract and leaves the body the normal way, rather than coming back up. Given regularly, it helps stop hair accumulating into a ball in the first place — turning a messy, uncomfortable problem into one that mostly takes care of itself. The malt flavour is the other half of the design: most cats lick it up willingly, which is what makes a paste practical where a tablet is a battle.
- ✓Helps hair pass naturally. Lubricates swallowed fur so it moves through instead of coming back up.
- ✓Reduces buildup over time. Regular use helps stop hairballs forming in the first place.
- ✓Tasty malt flavour. Most cats lick it up readily — no pill to force.
- ✓Easy to give. Straight from the tube, off the paw, or mixed into food for fussy cats.
How to give it
Squeeze a little onto your cat's paw or nose and let them lick it off — the taste usually does the rest. It can also go straight into the mouth, or be mixed into a meal for cats that won't take it directly.
Follow the amount and frequency printed on the tube — typically a larger amount for a few days when hairballs are active, and a smaller maintenance amount a couple of times a week. Store cool and dry, cap on, out of reach of children.
A hairball paste eases the passage of swallowed hair — it doesn't treat the cause of heavy shedding or an underlying problem. Repeated retching that brings nothing up, ongoing vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, or a cat that seems unwell needs a vet: what looks like a hairball can sometimes be a blockage or another condition. Don't keep dosing paste in place of a check-up.
