Vet-IQ Urinary Care Paste combines malt extract with DL-methionine as a urine acidifier, cranberry powder, taurine, vitamin E and parsley or celery seed oil, in a lickable paste for cats and dogs.
DL-methionine named specifically as the acidifying mechanism
Rather than a vague "urinary support" claim, this names DL-methionine specifically as a urine acidifier, a genuine mechanism for helping manage struvite crystal formation, alongside cranberry powder which is separately associated with a healthier urinary tract environment.
Parsley or celery seed oil are traditionally used for a mild diuretic effect, and taurine and vitamin E round out the formula.
